14th of September 2022: Many new features in VQM
Video Quality Monitor (VQM) has a new lipsync metric and it can compute Contrast Modulation (CM) and video stability. VQM can also now detect the "time-to-start" of a video based on video content.

New jerkiness metric (29th of April, 2013)
VQM now includes a new metric which computes the impact of jerkiness (image freezing) events on perceived quality. For example, several short freezes have more impact (they decrease the quality score in a more important manner) than a single long freeze (that's what observers say in subjective tests). This metric is very useful for video streaming applications.


Quality-driven encoding/transcoding (24th of October 2012)
REVOLUTIONNARY: Video Quality Analyzer can now encode/transcode your audio video files by optimizing the video bitrate in order to reach the quality level you desire. Choose the quality, VQA determines the corresponding bitrate and encodes your files, in a fully automatic manner.
